I hate to say it but I think we won't be seeing Phil being competitive in many tournaments for now on. It's sad but fathertime has caught up to Phil. It would be nice if Phil really dedicated himself to lose like 20-25 pounds and be in better shape like Furyk. I think the only major Phil will be competitive is will be at The Masters. The course favors his game. I guess the only US Open title he could win is on the senior tour.

On tv they say he is in the best physical shape of his career. I don't think he has Furyk's body type. Sadly, I agree with the rest. He has too much money and too many outside interests and obligations to be as serious about golf as he needs to be at this stage of life. That's if he wants to contend. Everything gets more challenging as we age.

I agree about the fathertime comment but Ive seen Phil in person at TPC Scottsdale , Doral and the Players so far this year. Im going to the Barclays in a few weeks. Phil has never looked so fit at trim. I even hear fans commenting on how much better he looks in person(in case you think Im bias ) That being said Furyk really looks too skinny in person to the point he looks ill. But hey he is playing great.. just pointing out the weight thing. Phil had high hopes this year saying his fitness routine brought back swing speed..it did but still no wins. He has too much on his plate and OBVIOUSLY cant do it all plus he's 45 and golf goes south in your forties.
