29 years since PHIL's 1st PGA win. Only Sam Snead at 30 years has a greater "win spread".

This week was PHIL's 500th time PHIL has made the cut!!

This was 195th top ten finish!!

He is now over the 90 million mark in career earnings

While he does have 44 career wins he avoided getting his 37th second place finish in a PGA event!

Last November PHIL reached the mark of 25 years in the top 50 in the world. With this win PHIL can almost just take the rest of the year off and still be in the top 50 come November 2019 for 26 years!!

PHIL has won a PGA event in 22 seperate years. That's amazing--Arnie won in 18 separate years on the PGA tour. Jack won in 18 years as well. By my count only Snead has won in more years on the PGA tour then PHIL and that would be 24 years!!!

Wow and wow

This stuff needs to be reported more. This is going to be a short week celebration because Tiger is back on the scene.
I get that Tiger is good for the game...yadda yadda yadda... but Phil accomplishments don't get justice. Like Johnny Miller always said in a Tigerless world Phil is "The Guy"

Golf is a funny game--Arnie burned bright but flamed out and won very little after age 40 in 1970. Well actually just twice but with 7 majors and 62 PGA wins he has a huge place in Golf history. For that matter Jack, my 1st golfing idol and still a favorite, also won very little after age 40.

Frankly they accomplished a lot playing and went on to other matters. Oh they still wanted to win every week but they faltered physically and what not.

Sam Snead is a bit of the exception and even he slowed down winning but he similar traits to PHIL. Good health and he had a long languid but forceful swing. He was not the putter PHIL is and nor did he have the short game but he was long and accurate off the tee and was brilliant with his approach shots.

PHIL's high level of prolonged play is only matched, perhaps by Jack and Snead. And even Jack mostly gave up the regular tour after age 40.
