Good drive at 13 but the lay was tough and he hung it out too far to the righjt
Long eagle putt is coming

Rory's 18ft birdie putt on 18th cost me my masters pool . Just another reason to dislike him LOL

Nothing for Phil to be ashamed of. Yes, he needed to drive it better on the first 9 and avoid the 3 whacks.
The big issue for him was shooting even par on the second 9 on day 1.
Second consecutive runner up in majors. Hopefully, he carries this good play into Sawgrass and Chamber's Bay

Amen to all of the above, and for the 10th time, he finishes 2nd in a major. Oh what might have been, but it's a wake up call for all who thought he was done!

And Tiger was pressing the committee to make the course harder by sucking out more moisture?.... he couldn't do well as it was, how was he supposed to do better if it was harder? I think it was 'just perfect' the way it is, allowing those guys who can hit a ball to make great shots, and yet it still had a bit of bite to it. I just hate when they make courses (thinking Shinnecock some years back) that are just chance luck of stopping a ball on the green. This was doable if you thought your way around the course.

Great performance from Phil this week. Spieth won it, Phil didn't lose he definitely played well enough to win.
Bittersweet past two majors. Phil has played so well (-15, -14) only to come up just short both times. A win this July would make up for those close calls.

perfect shots were rewarded with birdies at Shinnecock

This will do wonders for Phil's confidence. He lost by 4 shots. If he shaved off 1 shot a day he is in a playoff.

Re: Masters Round Four 2015
Phil must have a record (or at least close to it) of 2nd places in majors. It really is bittersweet. It's great that he played fantastic and was in such strong contention, but it seems like so often there's one player who's on fire and keeps him from winning. But in any event, his play in the past two majors has been very promising. In many other years, his performance this week would have won the Masters, so he can still come away from it feeling really confident. Any time you're in strong contention to win at a major, I consider it a success.
Playing three weeks in a row seems to really help him to get in a groove. He had been playing well coming into this week and he carried that momentum and played even better here. As long as he stays patient, he will be back in the winner's circle eventually. Even just a win at a regular tournament sometime soon would feel really sweet.

It did seem fair. 1 shot more a round and Phil would have tied.i couldn't tell how disappointed he was.
