and PHIL will have time for a leisurely breakfast and an long warm up before he tees off today. It is every PHIL fan dream to have PHIL in the last group on Saturday as we hope for it for Sunday as well. Lots of TV time and fan focus. So let's go PHIL and here's a story about of the guys in the threesome

I as we all do just hope Phil has a realistic chance to win on Sunday. Would love to see him with a 3 shot lead going into Sunday but it is so bunched up it doesn't seem likely.Phil will feel that pressure he keeps talking about needing .

Well, no matter what, IMO, he's showing signs of life for next week. I just hope that he is NOT paired with Tiger next week!

Phil is mixed in with a couple of hot youngsters. That Cook fellow shot a 64 to win the qualifier and then has shot 2 hot rounds to bee up there with Phil. Hopefully, the crowd can distract the youngsters who are not used to that type of following.

OK birdie on #1 to tie the lead and now PHIL is on the watery 5th hole.

PHIL is pretty far back. I might shot for bunker on right of green

Drive finds the water on 5, three putt double.

Lets see if Phil can avoid the weekend fade he's struggled with the past two seasons.

from here on in we shall see which direction he goes. the press has been so great the last 2 days it will be terrible if he is too far back after today to get a win

It's not like he really hit a bad shot on 5 either. His drive was pretty good (unlucky to catch the water), had an awkward lie for his third and a really tough putt for par.

doesnt Paul Casey resemble the German guy who crashed the plane a couple weeks ago. My daughter just pointed that out to me.

The water and three missed putts at 5-6-7 have stalled out PHIL's round

He needs some mojo!!

I think this is a big moment in the tournament for Phil. Missed the ninth green in a tricky spot. Another dropped shot here would be really bad.

Makes it, saves par.

Needs a back nine charge.

Just a terrible wedge game today. Perfect drive on 10, but a shitty wedge comes up 25 feet short.

Just a horrible drive on the easy 12th, big slice into a brutal spot. Not much of a chance to get up and in.

Just missed eagle on 13, tap in birdie after a great drive/3 wood second shot.

Worst swing of the day on 14. Way offline and way short, hopefully he has a shot from where he ended up.
