Bogied the first hole again....doesn't like that hole I guess.

Phil ties for low round of the day. Both he and Rose shoot -5 . Phil finished 15th. He was 2 shots out of a top 10. Conditions were tough but this proves Phil plays his way into form. It is just weird that he gets out of form with 2 weeks off. Very frustrating. DJ blew a 6 shot lead ...shocking he didn't have 1 birdie all day. Those double bogeys killed Phil this week. There were some crazy high scores from good players. Go figure???

PHIL is done for the year and yes he had a very very solid round in tough conditions

Yes, I too had all but given Dustin the trophy even after his bogie-bogie start, but wow. There have been several blowups on this course.
Kudos to Justin (argghhhh.....never forget him taking the trophy out of Phil's hands on that one major, but good play is what it's about).

I quit following him last night and went to sleep, but he actually finished better than I thought he would in this field.

Saw an article online where Phil said that he'd add extra tournaments if necessary to make the Ryder Cup team! That's one of his goals, which is not surprising.

I read where he plans on playing the entire west coast swing and then the WGC in Mexico. Wouldn't it be great if he can get a win or 2 like the old days on the west coast!!
I'm wondering who will be his caddy. Tim was a temporary gig.

He'll be so rusty, it will take the entire west coast swing just to get him back in shape. I think the only tournament I could expect him to have a surprise win would be the Palm Springs/Bob Hope (or whatever it's called now) and Pebble Beach... not many trees, so he can be a bit crooked off the tee, but not likely at Riviera CC or Torrey Pines.
