Is there a way to figure out what spot Phil has to reach to get into the Finals?... or is that a moving target....that Phil's position, or points gained by his position, changes based on who is doing well/not well? (i.e., if he reaches 30th in a field of 70, then the impact of reaching 30 depends who makes up the top 29?...if they are people above him in points or if those at the high end of the 70 field somehow make their way into the 1-29 spots?

I read one article that said he had to finish 13th. Another one said in the teens. It is a moving target.
If he wins this week he should move to 4th and be in charge of his owe destiny at the Tour Championship.

Well Phil was 18 inches from hole out eagle and 3 inches from a 63ft. birdie. Is he ever going to get some of that kind of luck you need to win a tournament?

Missed his eagle putt at #8 but -2 is a solid round

Phil just realized he is bogey fre with 3 holes left and drives it in native area. I'd be happy to just please par in.

You did it! The jinx!  Just like on TV when they say "so-and-so hasn't made a bogey in 54 holes....ugh....and then the guy goes on to bogey".... I hope the golf gods didn't hear you say that. Maybe he can squeeze by 1 more hole, 18!!!!

I wonder if Phil is pumped from being freed-up from the President's cup pressure....

Now that Phil is in with a 66. I'll report that on golf central yesterday they said Phil was 2nd to Reed with no 3 putts for 160 holes. Let's add 18 more to that after today. Don't know how Reed did today but a great stat! !
