Starting to get nausiated over Rory's coverage already
I know it's not Rory's fault, it's the media. But Morgan Hoffmann lead the 18 and 36 hole leads, Stenson holds the 54 hole lead, and each day, it's more photos/stories about Rory instead of the current leaders (who get little tiny photos on secondary stories).
It's kind of like the Tiger media frenzy with a new face.

Exactly. Rory seems like a nice kid, but there are other impelling storylines out there. They showed a lot of Poulter yesterday, too, and he was only at 7 under. I hope O'Hair continues to play well. That's an interesting story, too.

Rooting for Hoffman. Dont want Stenson or Rory gaining any more confidence heading into Augusta. IF Phil doesn't show some life this year and contend and win it is going to be hard to accept this changing of the guards for me. As much as I want a US open for Phil the Masters is probably his best shot for a major. So lets snag that 1st then that takes some pressure off the grand slam quest.

Yes, even now with Phil taking 2 weeks off between tournaments and never in contention, there is just no other pro to spark my interest up in golf. I also have hope for another 2004 Magical Sunday at the Masters.

I was routing for O'Hair at last week's tournament when he went in a playoff with Reed and Speith.
But at $750,000 in 2015 money already, he should be a sure shot to keep his PGA Tour card this year (his FedEx Points already equal the previous 2 years combined at this early stage of 2015).

The problem for Phil is he plays too little compared to the others. I don't see how you can maintain yourself in contention for the majors when you do a few rounds before a major and expect that to suffice. I think Phil will be fading fast from this point on. His drives are as horrendous as ever.... T-143 in driving accuracy (57.7%). But back in 2004, Phil was still in good playing form, even though hitting 63% of fairways. That 5% he's giving up since then is against harder course layouts, deeper rough, tighter fairways in 2015 than 2004.. He hasn't been close in 2014 or 2015. And now he is going to play the Texas Valero Open?.... where he has never played that hard TPC course? I've seen them play that place when the wind blows, it's not pretty.

I have been reading a lot lately about psoriatic arthritis and fatigue. I think it's an issue for Phil as in cancelling the trip to Augusta before Doral. Also affects his stamina and ability to stay focused.

I read he is on less medication than previous years and has virtually changed the way he eats and exercises more. Apparently there are many foods that contribute to inflammation and he has eliminated them. He really is trying his best and if it doesn't result in wins on the golf course this year IMO he will be really devestated.

I think he's controlling it well, but regardless, he has the disease. There were those who thought he'd never play again. The meds for that affect the immune system, and leaves one more apt to get infections, etc. Add that to his age, and I hope he can overcome it all, but I am not sure about it. He surely has put in lots of work and seems to want to succeed in getting more wins. I hope so as well, as I enjoy watching the game when he's playing.
