The review of the flood and the aftermath was crazy. Looks like Jim Justice was very good to the community around there.
Looks like low scoring....lots of -4/-3 just in the first nine holes....

Phil not looking sharp at all through 5 holes. Can't do a cram session week of event and play well.

Yep, that's right. Will he be another captain's pick? He's certainly talking a lot about how much he wants to 'make the team' on points (wink, wink). Possibly, if he's in the few spots right after the 10th place, quite possibly. Otherwise, they might just go with youth.

Geesh, middle of the fairway and Phil clocks a spectator on the head. That guy doesn't look so good, trying to smile, but it looks strained and he's holding a bottle of cold water to his head.
Ehh, lol, Phil getting cheap in his old age?.... he goes back and hands the guy a couple of golf balls, I supposed autographed. Didn't he used to give people a nice crisp $100 bill? Maybe he thinks the guy can sell his signed balls on Ebay for $100?... nope, there's probably too many spectators out there that got clocked by Phil and received signed balls :-).

Re: Greenbier Round One 2017
Break time.... wife and I have befriended a couple of guys on our course. Don't ask me why, they are big beer drinkers. I never drink a beer on the course, maybe once 10 years ago I had ONE. OK, so we see these guys all the time, one is young, but the older guy is really funny.... and they asked if we wanted to play in with them during some slow play and wife agreed, I was amazed. Actually, they're are nice, but they drink...like 1 beer every 1.5 holes. Not quite 1 beer/hole, but almost. I don't know how someone can even stand up after that, and out in the sun no less. So a few times since then, they came over to play with us when they've seen us (very low key course, people move around if there's empty holes). So they ask us "hey, would you want to play the Firecracker tournament on July 1 as a 4-some?.... I'm like, I don't know and wife says OK. It turned out fun, but the young guy, somewhere around hole 17, loses 2 new balls into the woods off the tee, he goes into the woods. I'm telling him, "uhm, I don't think you want to do that, there's poison ivy, really thick, and the bushes are 5-6 feet high....the guys says "oh that stuff doesn't bother me" and rushes right in. He's moving around in there like a Wildebeast and I'm saying, "I really don't think you should be doing that...." but he's not having it. I haven't seen him in a week, hope he's alright.
P.s. I asked the young guy one day they played in with us around the turn, "how many beers does he have in a round?... 18?...and the kid goes, not, not even close.... maybe 12 or 13 ".

Golly Phil, please birdie this par-5. At -2, you're 5 back.
OK, that's more like it... a 15-foot Eagle putt.

No beer for me and PHIL during a round of golf--I need all of my mental facilities
Very solid 67 for PHIL today--then have been low or lower today

Funny that you said that. Next to one green, there is a ~35-foot tall brick 'silo', about 15 feet in diameter with a dirt floor and a door-size entrance on one side (remnant from yester-year farming?). I joked that, it seems like a solid structure and they should have made that into a studio apartment. Both those beer-drinking guys made a 'pitt-stop' in that silo. My wife looked at me and said, didn't you go in there to look around some time ago, and I said "yea, but never thought it was being used for that, yuck " My wife refers to the older beer-drinker as "Happy Jack", you can imagine why, lol.
