Cut likely to be -2 or lower, Phil going to need a -3 just to insure he makes the cut.

Sung Kang is like a runaway train... -13 !!, uugh. Phil will need a -6 to -8 to stay in the contention game.

The weather is supposed to be lousy Sunday. Even if Phil makes the cut its highly unlikely he will get his wish of feeling the heat of contention. That being said maybe extra time at Augusta may be a plus if he MC.
Plus all the bad publicity of how much Phil gambled was revealed in the news because of the Walters trial. Terrible timing. Never a good time but this week not good!!

Late tee time off the 10th tee. Being paired with Ben Crame will test his patience. I thought that he played fast today and almost seemed indifferent. He's answering no questions about news involving him.

This news about the 1.9 million gambling debt is serious and sad. We have always heard stories about Phil gambling and took it lightheartedly, but it really now looks like Phil has a serious gambling problem. No normal person bets that much and does not have a problem. Phil is fortunate that he has made so much money in winnings and endorsements, but this does not look good for him. Hope he can get it under control because if not, it will only get worse.

I know this does look bad but we know Phil likes high stakes gambling, when you make his kind of money you bet big . We don't know the details but this could have been a gambling debt over time. Guys keep uping the ante to try and get even and before ya know it 2 million.when your net worth is 400 million this really isn't much for a guy of Phils means. It is however very unfortunate for the's details to be public knowledge.

Phil is 8th on tour in strokes gained putting and this week is the worst I've seen him putt all year. He says he wants to get sharp for the masters but I've said it before when he isn't in contention he plays poorly. Probably has his mind on things other than golf unfortunately.

The characters involved bother me more than the money. Also, it was 5 years ago. I think when he gets to Augusta it'll be better but his putting is off.

Doesn't matter if it's 5 years ago, he probably has lost a lot of money since then. Even though he is very rich, gambling that much is not normal and irresponsible as Phil has a family and should not be gambling with that much money. I have seen this before and I'm thinking he has a problem.
