2nd Round Career Builders 2017
and PHIL will be out later today---surprised me with his 68.
Another good score would be great.

Interesting...that leader, Dominic Bozzelli, his name sounded familiar so I looked him up....evidently, I was the 'walking scorer' for his group when he played the 2008 Ping Invitational here in Oklahoma while he was in high school. That year, Jordan Speith won, beating previous round leader Cory Whitsett. Now they're all pro's.

Phil is 'on deck'. Let's go Phil!! Hudson Swafford already to -10, geesh, this is going to be one of those -6/-8 is the cut line type of tournaments, imo, which doesn't come until after the 3rd day, correct?

Interesting stuff Bulls. Looks like Phil's playing pretty well again today. Good to stay in touch with the lead.

Good start but starting to look shakey. Hope he can get in before the rain.

Wow, -5 today to -9 total with 4 holes to go (thru 14). Leader at -14. If Phil can get to -10 or possibly -11, he should be in great shape (not too far behind to mount a charge). I think he is ecstatic himself that he is not playing too badly.

When my inlaws used to live in Palm Springs, they were visiting us and I was on the ladder cleaning out my gutters of all the leaves that had fallen and were accumulating in the gutters. My father-in-law said, as he watched me pull these old degrading, smelly leaves out of the gutter "boy, I'm glad I don't have that problem!". I asked, why, you don't have any trees next to your house?....he said "no, I don't have any gutters...it doesn't rain in Palm Springs", lol. I guess every now and then it does.

Re: 2nd Round Career Builders 2017
Phil is probably playing the Callaway's new Epic Driver, they came out with this new technology that was supposedly giving people more yardage, they had one heck of a secret hush hush campaign about it. The driver had "jailbreak" technology, they have 2 metal bars about 2-inch apart, about 1/4-1/2-inch behind the face that connect the top of the crown to the sole plate so on impact, the crown and sole don't separate/expand as much and give more strength to the face from flexing or some such reasoning. Everyone who was trying them out on GolfWRX web site were claiming they were getting more yards than the TM M-2. Rory is using it now as well. I wondered if Phil found a little more distance? "Jailbreak" because it resembles being behind bars, lol.

How'd you like it? I have about 5 Callaway drivers and just picked up a new Optiforce 440 (looking for a tad smaller face and going always fishing for a good feel shaft....love this Project X PXv Velocity (58-gm). But funny, the selling point on the Optiforce was that it's lighter, and I was worried when I got it on Ebay, that it was with the 43-gm shaft (which I found too whippy, even if stiff), but glad it was the 58-gm'er. But as soon as I got it, I said "uhm, a bit light, so I put about 3 good strips of lead tape on the bottom and now it's just right!!"

Anything special about the Epic, or 'just another driver'?
