Is there a half way cut of any kind in this tournament? I know that 30 move on, but with 70 in the tournament, was wondering about a cut. Also wondering if they expect weather, as they're off in 3-somes.

there is no cut so you have 4 full rounds to get into the top 30 in the fed Ex standings to advance to Tour championship.
they are off in 3s but I think they would be regardless of the weather.

PHIL OFF to decent start but misses green for 100 yrds on par 5

Bogey on par 5 just threw away 2 shots when everyone going low

Phils driving is horrible.  Ever since he said he wanted to win Vardon Trophy he has played terrible.

Great finish but starts 2nd round with a bogie, ugh.

During the west coast swing Phil played great ..was close ....felt a win was coming soon. He has great putting and scoring stats. 5th in scrambling . He had to run into Stenson at the British when his score would have won 141 out of the last 145 Opens. So now my point is he is feeling the pressure. He publicly said he wants to win Vardon Trophy to validate his year if he doesn't win. It's just been a bitter sweet year. Phil should have won. He has pulled off a win with much worse stats having got hot for 4 rounds. Very frustrating for he and his fans. Plus he's 46 not young any more even though in great shape.

Jus missed a 4 Fter. Bogeys the easiest hole on course . After a MC last week on a course he likes I expected s o muc h better. Plus coming off a 3 week rest and being "excited" for the playoffs. I am totally perplexed
