I came here to post the same thing. Maybe this is Phil's "Rory" round from the year Phil got robbed(well should have won)

Definitely frustrating. I badly want to see the guy win another tournament. Who knows how many (if any) he has left. This week is always one of his best chances. That finish yesterday is super annoying.

Kick in eagle.  Boy  if he can do something crazy low ..I just hope he has a great round to save face from yesterday's 18th hole disaster.
If he parred 18th he'd be in lead now.  A season of what ifs.... So far

Surprising layup on 8 and then a poor wedge.

Killer bogey on 8. Best he can hope for now is a backdoor high finish.

He will probably come back and birdie 9 to make it even more frustrating. Curious to see others on 8 later and see how bad that putt was.

Have to be on the right level and spot at Quail Hollow---PHIL was not at those levels on 8 and #10

Showed another half shank on 12.. Wonder if his arthritis is bugging him, especially in the rough. I am playing tomorrow and I worry about my hand/arm with potential thick rough

I don't know how these fairways compare to the width at Oakmont but Unless something miraculous happens to Phils tee ball he us going to be in trouble there. He just shaked another out of the rough

That was awesome. Phil just putted from 40 yards short on 14 and stuffs it to a foot.

That was one of the most amazing Phil birdies I've seen..I was worried it wouldn't make it up the hill. Lol

wasn't that weirdest thing at #14 for PHIL

75 foot uphill putt for PHIL from off the green to two inches.

-4 for day and -5 for event

Wow, I kept thinking please don't get held up on the fairway....and almost goes in. I can only imagine if he just made a pedestrian par on 18 yesterday, he'd be at -9 in the lead, putting pressure on those near the lead.

Same here. It just kept going.. I figured if they showed it then it had to be super good or super bad... I really hope Rory doesn't somehow win this.

Shame to think a bogey on 18 yesterday ties Phil for the lead. As he birdies 15 to go -6 and would have been solo leader with a bogey on 18 yesterday

It is encouraging to see Phil battle back.. He could have packed it in for today, but he is hanging tough.

Yea, I'm more sink over yesterday now than I was yesterday...as to the significance of that final +4 hole. Having par'd it, he'd be at -10 while everyone else is at -8. Even Nick said anyone gets to -10 is likely the winner.

At this point all I want for Mothers Day is for Phil to finish the last 3 in par at WORST. Is that asking for too much. Lol

Did you ever exchange cell #'s with him? Text him and tell him you want him to play the final 3 in -3 Smile
