Re: Waste Management 1st Round 2015
I understand they replaced a lot of sand in bunkers with that soft fluffy white stuff.

Re: Waste Management 1st Round 2015
Come on Phil ! 74 yrds to the hole... get it close and get it in, and get back to EVEN !!
OK, within 8 feet, but likely above the hole?... let's do it!

Couple of -4's and 4 -3's, and a bunch of -2's! Gotta do it, and need to cut down the bogies.

Re: Waste Management 1st Round 2015
Kind of a crazy forum. Half of the time when I try to post something, the site tells me that I haven't written anything and makes me type it again! Is this happening to anyone else?
Edit: Of course, this message made it through on the first try.

another bunker adventure on 7
Phil gets up and down for the par
This just in: doubling a par five really hurts one's round

Re: Waste Management 1st Round 2015
Would love to see him birdie at least one of the remaining holes and be under par.
Robert Streb -6, wow, he's a local OK product, out of OKlahoma City, I knew he was good a few years back when he won the Oklahoma Open (my son played in that as college player)....they would have pro's and amateurs.....college players were allowed in, other non-pros had to qualify.....Streb won that twice I believe. Some of our local pro's (Bill Glasson, Tway, and a few others also play in that if they're not on the circuit)

Re: Waste Management 1st Round 2015
two great shots on hole 8, Phil has 10 feet for birdie
(why does it seem Phil plays hard holes really well but can't seem to do anything on "easy" holes - like par 5s?)

Re: Waste Management 1st Round 2015
I believe they changed some greens and resurfaced all of them....so the subtle breaks they have recorded in their prior play books are no longer valid, imo.

Re: Waste Management 1st Round 2015
Looks like Phil's recent jousting, back-and-forth ribbing with Keegan has paid off.... for Keegan.

YEAH !!! BIRDIE !! Last week they were kidding Phil about making everything over 10 feet but having problems with putts <10 feet. Glad this one was 10-feet + few inches!!

Birdie at 8!
I can only recall Phil missing 1 makeable putt (an 8 footer when he made double bogey) today.

Phil's Mission: start a round just as hot as he finishes a round!
Great finish and a great come back after the rough start!
