Waste Management 3rd round 2016

Post by Admin on Sat Feb 06, 2016 9:03 am

PHIL has hit a ton of quality shots this week but is not scoring quite up to his standards. Things take time. Patience needs to be the key for me and PHIL. More me then PHIL. He will be out later today.

I have to believe that he has a low round hidden in there somewhere. Cannot find tee times yet.

Let's go Phil....let's avoid the doubles or worse and capitalize on what you've been doing well!!

I told my son I'd take him to Palm Springs for 7-10 days in May/June when he finishes his MBA and he asked if we could stop over in Phoenix/Scottsdale, that he has a friend he'd like to see who would put us on some great courses with his connections. I can live with that....4 days in Phoenix and another 4 in Palm Springs....sounds like a plan! And my brother-in-law in Palm Springs, with his construction company connections would likely get us some passes on some nice courses as well, like in PGA West.

That sounds like a great plan, and super memories of shared experiences with your son. What fun! Don't forget the credit cards. Shocked

Phil misses a couple reasonable birdie chances at 10 and 13. Needs to go low on this nine.

He missed the fairway on the par 5 when I'm sure he's thinking eagle and 2 holes now misses birdie putts. His putter really is cold

Another good chance, this time from 15 feet on the difficult 14th hole, is missed. Too bad his putter is ice cold this week. He should be in contention; just doesn't look like it's going to materialize.

If PBP is to be believed, looks like Phil is wet, way, way left of the 15th green.

Birdie is posted. A confusing one at that, but a birdie none-the-less.

Maybe he just layed up instead of going for it and PBP is acting screwy; apparently he made a 15 footer for birdie.

Very poor tee shot on 16 draws some boos. Just playing around 130 today and Phil is short, in the front bunker.

Good bunker shot to a couple feet, should save par.

Another birdie chance missed on 17, once again from the 10 to 15 foot range.

Birdie on 18 after another good approach! Maybe some momentum will lead to a push here.

Phil birdies #18-hardest hole on course.

PHIL is actually playing superb golf right. He is only at -2 for 9 holes but he had 4 other putts within 15 feet. Two more fall and he is top 10.
