and a few more holes are left. A score of -3 would be great for PHIL and a -6 for the second round would be better

Yea, make it to -5. Geesh, his -4 only gets him to 51st spot in FedEx cup pts...needs to get to 30th

Dummy....said to myself, should he go for it or lay up....I thought 274 was too far, he'd end up off the green anyway, might as well lay up and take water out of play....what's he do, he goes for it and costs himself.  He plays stupid golf at times, that's what costs him as much as any of his bad play does.

11 feet for par.

Bad a decision as it was to go for it with WATER in front he still cant convert a 11 ft par putt. That hole cost him 2 shots. I was thinking I couldn't remember the last time he had a decent under par round going with no bogeys. very very very frustrating

Even if he didn't birdie, that drop from -4 to -3 cost him about 5 FedEx point spots, every stroke is going to determine if he gets to the finals. I wish he would just for sake of proving the PResident's Cup pick was a valid choice.

I agree my biggest fear is if he plays terrible at the Pres cup. We know everyone on the team wanted him and he is great in team room but if he plays poorly the press is going to have a field day with the pick. Been plenty written already how it should have been a young gun instead.

Yes, I would rather he validate his choice for President's Cup (by playing well) rather than validate the naysayers that were critical of his choice.

8 ft birdie miss on another par 5. must have zero confidence with the putter. this is really really sad.

Announcer said Phil said he feels the best he's ever felt and can't understand why he isn't playing good.
He needs to see someone new for putting next year. Stockton isn't the guy for him.
