Any thoughts on the Task Force?

It is great to be back up and running. I think PHIL like some us will be resting from golf til January but I am going to slowly focus on connecting with others. so let's go PHIL

Hello my fellow Phil fans. Thanks to Ralph and Carolyn for setting this up and getting the word out. It's great to have a place to go again.

I think Ralph is right. I'm sure we won't see Phil until Torrey Pines in San Diego. Maybe Palm Springs. I hope he is using some down time on his driving range and is ready to go at the start of the season. I still think he can get to 50 wins and maybe 8 majors......too bad he didn't add the PGA back in August.

Is Phil not going to play in Asia this year?

As I recall, he's skipping Asia. He spoke out at the Ryder Cup and now he's laying low. Letting Brandel Chamblee continue to choke himself with his foot in his mouth. I know that in America, at least, everyone is entitled to one's opinion, but I am not impressed with Westwood and Poulter's take on the US setting up a task force and the joke they're making of it. Maybe they're scared.

missed everyone. Gotta say I wore myself out via tritter and responding in favor of Phil during all the post Ryder Cup stuff. BRANDEL NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE to Phil or get fired IMO.

It certainly appears as if most seem to side with Phil and the team then Watson the tyrant and ingrate and Brandel Chamblee.

The Task force, though the odd choice. Of name, seems to show that most agree that something has to change. Phil has always been good at taking a "hit" for the team. Self confidence is not something he lacks so he only said what many other team members thought.

Phil is busy in Canada. Designing a golf course in the rocky mountains just outside of Calgary.

Well as a Canadian that is exciting. Of course Toronto and Calgary are far apart.
Do you have any more info about this project of Phil's,and how do you know about it

There were a couple articles about it. Because of high elevations and extended ball flight it is suppose suppose to be quite lengthy from tips.

Hello everybody! Glad to have a Phil forum again.

Hi--Our numbers are growing slowly but surely. I wonder if Bulls has given up on us. Also, does anyone know Will's email address? He usually came online during a tournament. Maybe Bulls is a Watson man. At any rate, I hope he joins us when Phil starts to play again. In the meantime, I hope that we all keep in contact and keep the dialogue going. There was so much happening there for awhile, and no one close to discuss it with. Glad we have a home again. Thanks Ralph! Welcome anabaptistman! Debbie from the UK also. If anyone has anymore email addresses, feel free to contact others or pass them on! I just cannot get overly excited about this wrap-around season. Seems like a bit much with football and the World Series.

In response to Janice I saw an article about Phil designing a course in Canada from Golf Digest. If you google "Mickelson National golf club of Canada" you can get more detail from the web. Just a note of sympathy, really sorry about all the problems going on now in Canada.

Well, he has returned to Golf Central, and I won't watch him. He and Kelly T. are not exactly a dynamic duo. I think that TGC needs to know that he was WAY out of line. Not sure how to let them know. The comments about Brandel were not flattering and went on and on. Not sure how or why he keeps his job. Can you tell me how to let TGC know that I'm not interested in watching him? The fans were instrumental in getting Kelly tucked into the studio rather than doing on-site commentary during tournaments.
Going to be travelling next week but hope to be back online by the week-end.

The number I posted  was an automated opinion number I used a month ago to complain about Chamblee. A couple years ago I used it when Nick Faldo was insulting Phil.  Now it seems to be some guy at TGC .Im going to call  main number Monday and see what the story is and how to voice an opinion.

OK, I know Brandel Chamblee has been hard on Phil but he is paid to state his opinion. I think he's being a bit over the top too but I don't think he should be fired for it. That is what he is there to do...give his opinion. He's pretty rough on Tiger too.

I was digging around for Phil articles and I came across an ESPN piece from Oct. 4th that pretty much exonerated Phil and was saying what a jerk Watson was on Saturday night so I kind of thought that Phil was off the hook so to speak.

I'm kind of surprised that Bishop is being banned for life too....he made a mistake but he didn't murder someone. He called Poulter out on Twitter and apologized for it. Resigning is one thing, banned for life is something completely different.

I am travelling for a few days so I have to use my phone. Bishop was really wishy washy on the whole Tom Watson thing with Phil. He encouraged Phil to talk to Tom , as I recall and Phil thought it was inappropriate. Bishop did not wish to convey whatever it was Phil was asking for. I think this episode with Bishop was the final straw. I believe that there had been previous issues. He and Phil played together in a pro-am in the summer.
